Method and limitations
The selector applies the entered bounds to recorded scalar values. It excludes an entry when a required value is unknown. Frequency notes remain visible for human review; they are not an automatic qualification test. Up to four selected records can be compared side by side. No availability, certified equivalence or supplier stock is inferred.
Using the result
Use the selector to organize a shortlist, not to approve an alternate laminate. Two matching Dk values do not establish equivalent copper adhesion, dimensional stability, flame rating or multilayer compatibility. Open each material reference and check the exact construction with the fabricator.
From a calculation to a released design
Keep the input assumptions with the result. Recalculate when the ordered material, dielectric height, copper or operating conditions change. Confirm the final construction with the fabricator and use field simulation or measurement wherever the simplified model omits an important effect.
See the controlled-impedance guide and material selection workflow for the next checks.
